Compare and contrast!!!!! :)

There is a lot of things you can compare and contrast on when looking at to different blogs about photography. I chose the two minor topics of editing pictures for my main topic on photography, for comparison and contrasting.

Megan Hembree’s blog on editing is telling about the different things you can do to edit pictures.
such as saying in her post “You can go in and edit pictures on different websites and make it how you want them to be. You may whiting peoples teeth, change their hair color, put borders around their photo and many more things, for free, with some websites. When editing, you are able to change what you don't like about the picture. "
She tells the different ways but not how to do them.

However Stephanie’s blog is on how to edit the pictures. She gives websites and tells you the main basic step you mainly have to do to edit them. such as she says “When you go to any of these four websites or any others you first upload the picture, and then go through all the effects you want, the possibilities are endless. "

There is so much about one topic that you can find a dozen of blogs on the little topic and be told so much and it probably, most likely won't come from the same blog. When comparing and contrasting look for the main topic such as the editing. look for minor detail as well though such as what about the editing.

Photography is a broad topic and its not hard to talk about it. Many people can talk about it in many different ways.

Camera Interview

I interviewed three people about how much they knew about cameras, editing, etc. I wanted to see if age affected the knowledge about cameras. I took three different random people ages fifteen, thirty-two, and fifty-four; and asked them a couple questions to see how much they knew.

-When asked on a scale one through ten how much she knew about cameras fifteen year old Heather Morgan replied “about an seven and a half.
When asked the question how much do you use a camera, she replied “I use it quite often.”
I asked if she knew more would she use her camera more than she already does, her reply was “probably.”
Heather was asked would she be interested in learning more, (laughing) replied “probably not.”
When asked do you know about animating and editing pictures, Heather replied “uh yeah sure but not a lot.”
Then I asked if she would like to know more, and her reply was “sure.”

So here is a video on how to use photobucket.com on ehow.com

-When asked on a scale one through ten how much she knew about cameras thirty-two year old Kimberly Williams said “two.”
When asked the question how much do you use a camera, her reply was “not often.”
I asked if she knew more would she use her camera more than she already does, she said “yes.”
Kim was asked would she be interested in learning more, in reply the answer was “um no.”
When asked do you know about animating and editing pictures, Kim said  “no.”
Then I asked if she would like to know more, and her reply was “not really.”

-When asked on a scale one through ten how much she knew about cameras fifty-four year old Murley Stuart replied “about a four.”
When asked the question how much do you use a camera, her reply was “she buys a disposable one when need for important events/about every two years.”
I asked if she knew more would she use her camera more than she already does, she said “no.”Murley was later asked would she be interested in learning more, in reply the answer was “no.”
When asked do you know about animating and editing pictures, she said  “no.”
Then I asked if she would like to know more, and her reply was “no.”

In conclusion, overall my hypothesis was right. Younger people know more because they grew up learning it. Older people never had the variety of cameras we do today and so they never cared to learn about the new technology of cameras.

Digital photography

Photography has come a long way.  As a child, I remember my parents taking pictures and having to wait for days or weeks to see the picture.  Back then if you made a mistake with a picture, you were stuck with the picture. You took them to be developed and you got what you took. If the picture was blurry or part of the picture was missing, that is what you got. You didn’t have the opportunity to go back and fix it.

With today’s different types of cameras, picture taking has changed. You now have the opportunity to view the picture seconds after it is taken.  If you don’t like the picture you even have the opportunity to delete it. You can do things like crop pictures, which is adding or removing things in the picture. You can take pictures in different colors. I like to take black and white photos.  Below is a picture of me in black and white

How to take a digital photograph.

Taking a digital photograph is so easy that even a child can do it. I know because my sister takes pictures of me.  All I had to do was turn the camera on and show my sister how to find me in the view finder and which button to push. She is only 7 years old.

A blogger from the 8 daily blog post Says “digital photography is good to express yourself” "It is simple to do" it is a blog that provides 8 blogs daily about this topic.

This is so true. From my experiences I know that this is true. When Younger and younger ages are learning to use cameras its because they are getting simpler and simpler to use. For instance as I said before my 7 year old sister can take pictures.

There are many different types of digital cameras. I have a Canon Rebel. My camera has many features and I am still learning all of the different ways to use the camera. The main thing to know is that you turn it on, find the image that you want to photograph and go to the different settings and pick the one that you want. Mine has different settings such as taking pictures outside or at night or in different colors. I like to take pictures outside because I think the pictures come out better. After you take the picture, you can either save it or delete it. You can upload it to your computer and even send it to Walgreens, all without leaving the house. So digital photography saves time and money.

The first camera

Brenda says “the first camera was invented in 1841 by Joseph Nicepiece. That he was the one who successfully made the camera and took pictures of the roof tops. Then forty-four  years later the same camera was made but easier to use, by George Eastman.”

shotaddic.com said “Ibn Al-Haytham, an Arab mathematician Invented the first camera but that he had not came up with the idea.”

There are multiple conclusions on who invented  the first camera and who came up with the idea. If anything the thing we do know is the guy that came up with the idea and the guy that made the camera are not the same person.

The idea of the camera was exquisite. Inventing the camera was the best idea anyone could have had because everybody uses them these days. PIctures are great to have to keep for memories.

I wonder if the guy who had this idea made it for that exact reason. I wonder if he knew cameras was gonna be as big as the become to be.

Just think if you would have made the camera or came up with the idea how rich you would be. You would probably have millions because there are millions of cameras throughout the world. People use cameras a lot  mostly during big events such as weddings or their kids successions. The use of the camera makes the idea one of the greatest of all times.

When you pick up a camera or anything for that matter do you ever just think I wonder who invented this? or I wonder how the inventor thought of this and made it up? Such as the light bulb, computer, sink, refrigerator. The camera is such a unique item that it makes you wonder this thing you use all your life almost was so complicatedly made.

My first blog :)

A picture I took
-Property of Kara
I have always liked photos: to be in them, to take them. I love to take pictures of everything. I love photography and have always wanted it as a side job because I mainly want to do something with music.

I guess I just like art. My favorite type of photography, I guess would have to be scenery. Backgrounds are really cute and I take them really good.

I love to edit pics and just have fun with cameras and editors. I will tell you how you can do this.

I started taking pictures when I was really young my family is a bunch of picture taking freaks. It wasn’t till here recently when I started really getting into taking pictures and editing them.

The very first time I done this I didn't really know how to. When i started doing a lot more with this it became easier and funner. When me and Austin started talking again i really got into it because he loves it too and it’s something we can do together.

If you like photography and I hope reading this blog will help you learn how you can take better pictures. How to make good backgrounds. How to download pictures. What colors really make a picture pop. How to take fun picture verses elegant pictures and vice verse.

You can take pictures anywhere and of anything. Such as going to the beach and taking pictures of the water or taking pictures of animals. What ever interests you take pictures of it because there is someone out there who likes it too and will find it interesting.

If you like taking pictures go for it you never know how far it will take you.

Be yourself because pictures express yourself
